New Vision, the Yakima County Development Association, is primarily funded by private business donations and local government grants. The association currently has over 360 members and is always interested in adding new members to our team.

The association typically sustains its operations by conducting a capital campaign every five years. Members ideally sign up to support the organization for a five-year period. Since not all business or organizations can make funding pledges, New Vision is always willing to structure a membership that meets the needs of prospective donors.

We have developed the following guidelines for evaluating appropriate annual donation levels:

Individual $150 - $250 + $100/emp.
3 - 10 $300 + $50/emp. over 6
11 - 25 $500 + $50/empl. over 15
26 - 50 $1000 + $25/emp. over 30
51 - 100 $1500 + $20/emp.
101+ By Arrangement

A donation to New Vision should be deductible as a trade or business expense, if ordinary and necessary in the conduct of business expense. A donation to the New Vision foundation may be deductible as a charitable contribution. New Vision, the Yakima County Development Association (YCDA), is qualified as a tax exempt organization under section 501 (c) (6) of the Internal Revenue Code.

New Vision has also established a charitable trust that is qualified as a tax exempt organization under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Please seek the counsel of a qualified tax consultant regarding the deductibility of your investment.

In-kind services or products are accepted only if they are services or products that would normally be purchased as a course of doing business. The decision to accept in-kind investments rests solely with New Vision’s Executive Committee.

Members receive a special exclusive ‘Investor Notes’ bulletin eight times per year in addition to receiving New Vision’s quarterly newsletter. Members also receive invitations to New Vision’s annual meeting as well as other special events.
